As APIs are heating up the development world and blockchain is the talk of town these days, we are assuming you already know about these two technologies — at least to an intermediate level — before we start discussing the RPCs in particular.

Exploring the Blockchain RPC Node API — an Overview of APIs

A Remote Procedure Call (RPC) happens to be the most straightforward form of an API which allows developers to communicate to a server to remotely execute code — in short, it is very similar to a function call, but between two different systems. Since Web APIs (aka REST APIs) are popular these days, please note that technically…

Dear Celo community,

in the following article, we would like to share with you our experience from setting up a Validator in the baklava testnet during the Celo Foundation Voting Program for Cohort 6.

Since we could not find documentation on the registration of a Validator with faucet funds instead of ReleaseGold smart contracts that was official, up-to-date, and complete, we would like to present to you our approach and hope that with this report we can give back a little as well as make things easier for those interested in the Celo Platform and supporting this extraordinary project by…

Within this tutorial, you will learn how to retrieve and analyze data from the Ethereum Blockchain with the help of the SQL interface.

We will show you how to retrieve data from using common SQL language.

What you must know already

This tutorial is written for programmers, who have some experience with SQL. You should also have visited the authorization page and set up our connection to the database. Remember that the subentities are stored using the Postgresql-Type JSONB. For more information on that, please take a look at the ER model.

While most associate the word ‘blockchain’ with tokenized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ether, the practical applications of decentralized ledger technologies are much more far-reaching than you might think.

Whether it’s revolutionizing food supply chains or rethinking real estate investment, blockchain offers a host of powerful benefits that could fundamentally change the way we live.

Join us as we explore a variety of use cases for blockchain technologies and offer expert insights on how different industries can unlock the power of decentralized ledger technologies.

The Duality of Blockchain Technologies

Before we dive into specific examples of blockchain examples, it’s important to appreciate that there are…

Within this tutorial, you will learn how to retrieve and analyze data from the Ethereum Blockchain with the help of the API.

We will show you how to retrieve data from using the Elasticsearch Query DSL.

You will learn

  • How to access
  • How to use different methods to query the API
  • How to write a basic query returning some events
  • How a return object is structured and which data it returns
  • How to filter events for a specific contract or a specific event type
  • How to sort the events by block number

Is your business looking for a fast and intuitive platform to interpret complex blockchain data and translate raw code into meaningful insights?

Whether you’re building a private blockchain network or taking part in an established consortium or public blockchains, knowing how to read blockchain data is vital to monitor your processes and stay up-to-date with important on-chain events.

Here at Anyblock Analytics, we’ve developed a full suite of dedicated tools for blockchain analytics to help blockchain users access human-readable blockchain data in a single, easy-to-use platform.

Join us as we walk you through the process of transforming raw blockchain data…

Did you know that there are over 40 Ethereum-based public blockchains at this very moment?

While Ethereum Mainnet is by far the most widely used Ethereum-based network, there is an entire ecosystem of smaller networks that could be useful for developers, enterprise blockchains, or consortia projects.

Join us as we explore 17 of the hottest Ethereum-based networks across three core categories. We’ll analyze the key characteristics of each and offer our insider tips on which networks to avoid and which ones we recommend integrating into your existing systems.

This blog post is based on the presentation given at Ethereum Community…

Welcome! In this tutorial, you will learn how to use Python to query the Anyblock Elasticsearch blockchain data API. First, you will learn to initiate your Elasticsearch Python client. Then we will show you different queries to retrieve data from the Anyblock Index and how to work with Pandas Dataframes to analyze Ethereum Blockchain data. It is obviously possible to do all the query experiments in Python, but we recommend you to test your queries with cURL, or in Postman, and then copy those over to your Python code.

You will learn:

  • How to install and import the necessary libraries

Featured image: Exemplary insight into Metabase dashboard creation

Why use Metabase for blockchain analytics?

Here at Anyblock Analytics, we choose Metabase as our primary blockchain visualization tool because it enables business users to answer their questions themselves, rather to wait for precious developer time. This is possible because of the simple Metabase point and click editor so that no SQL query language needs to be used (but it can).

The other great feature is the ease of sharing Metabase blockchain dashboards publicly or with the respective shareholders. The link to do so is generated with two clicks and the graphs can just as easily be embedded into websites or users’ internal applications.

What is Metabase in general?

“Metabase is…

TheGraph’s curation program has allowed us to learn about TheGraph ecosystem, how Subgraphs work, and evaluate which subgraphs are high quality and useful to users. It was also extremely insightful to learn how subgraphs are developed, deployed, and used. We at Anyblock have developed a dashboard that leverages the subgraph from TheGraph Testnet to visualize meaningful and important metrics for curators, indexers, and other interested users.

How TheGraph advances web3

We at Anyblock believe in TheGraph because it advances blockchain and web3 in several ways.

  • TheGraph enables essential decentralization so that no one entity, or organization, controls what is relevant to users.
  • TheGraph advances…
